
Visitor Groups were Optimizely's original personalisation engine — rule-based targeting by geography, device type, or query string. It served its purpose well. It's now been superseded by Optimizely Data Platform (ODP), which brings real-time audience segmentation, behavioural data, and AI-driven targeting. If you're still using Visitor Groups, the upgrade is worth it.
